May I suggest that, unrelated facts can be of entirely opposite nature and yet co-exist. Example: quantum physics and traditional understanding of physics appear mutually contradictory, yet both stand up to examination!

It seems that many witnesses simply dont care about facts?
by stuckinarut2 ini often wonder if the current crop of witnesses, especially the youth and younger ones simply don't care about facts?.
i mean for some, even with knowledge of the past scandals, misleading teachings, mistruths, etc etc, they simply don't care.
"it is the truth after all".. they are so intertwined in the operations and activities of the society, that they cant see anything outside of it.

River flowing from the garden of Eden
by joey jojo inhey there.. if this point has been covered before please forgive me.. i have had the principles of noahs flood used by jw's to encourage me to attend meetings recently and this has got me musing about the flood....again.. genesis states that a river flowed from eden and branched out into four rivers, two of which being the tigris and the euphrates.. heres the baffling part; if it had never rained before, how is it that rivers existed before the flood?!!?.
a brief google search tells us that the euphrates begins its journey as snow melt and rain ( as most rivers do) in mountains in turkey.. ecc chapter 1 mentions the water cycle and describes the rivers flowing into the sea but the sea not becoming full.
how did it work pre-flood?

a hell of a anchor, a wooden anchor
Perhaps hooked to a giant sea creature, now extinct and undiscovered, causing fear in the Greeks of Poseidon.

May I ask for your consideration:
What interests you?
What natural ability do you have?
What particular skill might align your interest with that ability?

My Introduction - An ex-elder's story of waking up later in life.

You have patience, doubtful1799.
Beautifully written; a journey for sure!
I wish you well.
We keep the peace by not discussing anything at all controversial.
Words of wisdom, these.
Don’t get me wrong, I have had a good life, but I could have done so much more with it if I had known the real truth. I could have been a real help to people, not just pseudo help.
That is a beautiful sentiment, but your dissatisfaction might not be called for.
One question: How do you think, your experience has affected your idea/expectations of "truth"? Please respond at your convenience.
Thank you,
S K Ditta.

How did the theocratic ministry school benefit you?
Perhaps, the art of seeing relations between concepts in a "pre-defined" structure.
And how words in books can connect in ways with realities of actions, words, and behaviors.

If "the Truth" is the truth, why are witnesses so scared of research?
by stuckinarut2 init is an often asked question i know, but it perplexes me.. if witnesses are so convinced that they have "the truth", why is the act of researching information from external sources so taboo?
didn't the bible itself tell people to "use their powers of reason" and also praised ones like the boreans for researching things they were told??.
seriously, if there is no doubt about the organization being "god's channel" on earth, and it alone having the "truth", surely researching would only enhance such 'facts'?.

May I answer the opening question with the question:
Between Pilate and the Jewish people of Jesus' time, who appears to be the wiser? They both had "the truth" standing right there in front of them!
